Relation to series:
Summerside was the city Anne resided in during her short three year teaching
position at the school. She was the Principal of Summerside High School.
In Anne of Windy Poplars, Summerside was inhabited by a clan of Pringles,
known as 'The Royal Family', and those who weren't Pringles. Everything
was "under their thumb". Non-Pringles were outsiders and treated as
such. Anne had a very difficult time maintaining her stand, for
every decision she made was easily overridden by a clan who had their
own ideas of running things.
